Hi ya'll - It has really been too long - WHEW... there has been a lot going on around here.  We have hosted a number of teas that I can't wait to share with you!  But for now...

Since summer is leaving us & coming to an end I had to give one more shout out to this beautiful time of year!

We are cold & dreary here & it is looking more and more like fall at each corner {not that I mind a bit!}  I love fall but today I had Garden tea parties on the brain!

{off the beaten path} - some sewing love

 
I came across Heather Bailey - see her blog here!  She is fun, fabulous and o-so-creative!  I love creative & I have found my outlets for that creativity!

One of those outlets is sewing.  Now, I just started & I don't sew a lot of things but I do plan to use it to my advatage on redecorating, making new table cloths and napkins for the teas and so on...

I came across this adorable pin cusion {5 fruit patterns in 1!} & knew I had to make one soon {huge fan of pears}!

{I feel so BLESSED!}

My Nana that passed away this past February is the reason that I do what I do with So Lovely!  She is my inspiration & the one whom taught me how to be a lady & how to set a proper table.  That isn't even an inkling of what she instilled in me but I will share more as we continue down this journey together...

Nana always subscribed to Tea Time magazine & any other ultra frilly, foo foo magazine she could find - needless to say, those are all right up my alley as well.  She would get her Tea Time in the mail & as soon as she was done devouring it - it would be my turn!!!

As I have been thinking about what path I would like my dream to go down I was thinking about people I can share So Lovely with!  Needless to say I want to share it with everyone & in turn be the go-to gal for all things Tea Party!  In, steps Tea Time.  If you haven't checked this magazine out you should go get one today!  It is beautiful & classic - exactly what I want So Lovely to reflect, exactly what Nana was in her lifetime!

Long story short...{not really} I sent a story idea to Tea Time & they contacted me back about visiting with the Asst. Editor!  Yes, I am dancing around giggling like I am 13 again...

This is a dream and a blessing!  We will see what comes of it but either way I am honored!

{It's Love!}

I fell in love with Baby K Designs on Etsy as I was planning for Olivia's arrival.

We had the outfit to bring her home in & it was yellow, {as you know I am a girly girl who LOVES pink} but I  was determined to make this little girl look like a little girl in yellow by finding her a beautiful flower for her tiny little head :) 

Well, the outfit was HUGE but the flower worked perfectly for this sweet little photo & now it works just lovely on my head!!!  I LOVE her work & I think you will too!

We had such a wonderful time celebrating with 9 beautiful Mary Kay ladies celebrating their achievments!  We look forward to working with Yvette again on a Spring Garden Tea Party!  Just wait until you see what we have in store for that one! 

{Happenings!!!}

I am super duper with sugar on top excited about my new logo for the Etsy shop & the blog!  I hope you like it!!!  I wanted to go with something elegant yet whimsy & fun.

I have been so busy over here working on some new, fun designs!  I am planning to launch 5 new designs in the shop by April 1st!  No, that isn't an April Fool's joke - I really am!!!  They are fun!

{Olivia's sweet 1st Birthday!} - it was a real Hoot!

Thank you! Thank you!  Thank you! is what I have to say to everyone that helped make {Olivia's 1st Birthday} a success!  Can I just say that everything you read and everyone you talk to will try and convince you to keep it small but I fully recommend having ALL of your loved ones around you to celebrate this special time! 

The photos turned out just smashing thanks to one of my besties - Melanie - love ya girl and thank you for celebrating with us and documenting this special day!

have you ever had sixlets?  they have been one of my absolute favorites for a long time!
Needless to say they looked like polka dots & tasted "O So Good"

Welcome to So Lovely Tea Room & Events!!!

I am so excited to FINALLY be starting down the path I feel led...

Please step through the door of my dream & let me share with you all things lovely, all things pretty & all things tea room!

My daughter Olivia turned 1 this past Sunday so of course we HAD to have a party for her!  This couldn't be a small party because that just isn't how we do it so we planned and planned and planned and I am so excited to share with you in the days to follow {Olivia's 1st Birthday Party} - it was a real Hoot!

I want to start off by sharing with you a beautiful Ruffly Felt Rosette Wreath that I just knew I had to make when I came across it on one of my "Lovely Blogs" - Inspiring Reads & Funny Thoughts - Kristy Ramsey is one of the most creative people I know and I am sure I will mention her again but first I want to thank her for introducing me to this lovely wreath!  If you LOVE this picture you can make this wreath!
